Bridge Out on the SRY

The Southern Railway of BC (SCAC: SRY) reported today that they are experiencing railcar delays on their line. We were informed that there is a bridge outage in this area right now which is affecting loaded/empty cars moving from CPRS to SRY or vice versa. At this time, they are moving priority cars by barge only. Empty cars are falling to the end of the waiting line and loaded cars are moving in priority order only. They are hoping to have all bridge repairs completed by 8/1/2011.

Additional information can be obtained from SRY at 604.527.6370.

QTS will continue to monitor this situation as it develops and provide updates on any individual cars to customers.

“The QTS product offered us an opportunity to take previously manual and disparate-system functions involved in the shipping process and integrate them together into a common rail shipping system.”
