.Net Developer
Quality Transportation Services, located in Mechanicsville VA, has an opening for a .Net Developer for our fast growing business, an energetic, high-tech Company in the logistics sector.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The .Net Developer is responsible for developing software to achieve the company’s strategic initiatives. They will work with other team members to deliver innovative solutions to our customers using the Microsoft technology stack along with the latest Web UI and data transformation technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop Microsoft .Net applications using C#, MVC, Angular, and SQL Server
- Developer/Use ORM solutions for data retrieval and persistence
- Develop solutions based on current enterprise design patterns
- Work with business analysts and domain experts to solve business problems
- Follow the Agile methodology to deliver quality products on time and on budget
- Provide detailed work estimates for Sprint stories and tasks
- Help troubleshoot existing applications
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Ideal candidate must be disciplined and demonstrate aptitude for learning and using the latest UI, service, and data tier frameworks and technologies. Candidate should also be comfortable in a structured and well-paced environment that sees value in individuals who take pride in their work. Candidate should be analytical, detailed, and comfortable in team-based environments. They should also be comfortable handling multiple priorities. Additional preferred qualifications are:
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience with .Net Development and Microsoft Application Stack using C#
- Experience with SQL Server, Stored Procedures and SSIS packages
- Experience with Subversion, Git, or similar Source Control tools preferred
- Experience with latest HTML standards, and style sheets, and vanilla and typescript javascript frameworks preferred
- Experience with .Net based services such as WebAPI2, WCF, SOAP and REST preferred
- Exposure to Agile Development process
- Experience with ETL a plus
- Experience in the Transportation space a plus

Business Analyst
Quality Transportation Services, located in Mechanicsville VA, has an opening for a Business Analyst for our fast growing business, an energetic, high-tech Company in the logistics sector.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Business Analyst is responsible for capturing business requirements, identifying and decompositioning processes, and turning those into user stories with enough detail for developers and testers to execute on. The Business Analyst plays an important role in the translation of the strategic initiatives into discrete executable user stories, resulting in realized products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet with domain experts to capture requirements
- Identify and decomposition discrete individual processes
- Develop user stories from those decompositions
- Work with developers and domain experts to maintain clarity around deliverables
- Assist in the timely delivery of final products.
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience
- Must have strong communication, presentation, and people skills
- Must have ability to manage relationships with domain experts and developers
- Experience with producing artifacts like requirements documents and user stories
- Experience with JIRA preferred
- Exposure to Agile Development process
- Experience in the Transportation space a plus
